A Walk on the Lake

This is a portion of a larger plein air piece I painted a few years ago on Prior Lake while my husband and son did some ice fishing.
We are having sub-zero weather here in Minnesota, and I decided to stay
warm inside my studio. Rummaging through some older paintings I found
this one and cropped it. A simple snow scene with the soft colors of a
late winter day, it makes me want to sip hot chocolate in front of the
fire.
